WINE enthusiasts and outdoor lovers are invited to join a grape harvest tomorrow.

The team at Bluestone Vineyards, Amesbury Road, need the help of volunteers to collect 20 tonnes of grapes during this year's harvest season, which is five times more than last year's yield.

And as part of an active day of grape picking, rewards for those taking part include a provided breakfast, a 'cake and a break' and Ploughman's lunch, with the day coming to a close with a celebratory glass of Bluestone sparkling wine with scones.

As the grape harvest is subject to the conditions of the fruit, as well as the weather, further dates after the official picking day are yet to be finalised. It is hoped by organisers that the harvest will run through until the following weekend.

There will also be an unofficial competition tomorrow to see who can pick the most fruit.

For more information about further harvest dates, or to sign up, contact Nat and Toby by emailing nmcconnell@bluestonevineyards.co.uk or visit the Bluestone Vineyards website.
